OFP Summer 2011

At OFP Timber Framed Homes we realise that times are still very tough, especially in the construction industry. However, we feel that it should not always be “doom and gloom” in the industry’s news. It is clear that buildings are still going up and that remarkable and exciting projects are still getting funded.
It is has been argued that there is a lag in the construction industry figures, and although we have seen a 4.7% drop in output in the first quarter of January 2011 from the Office of National Statistics, it is very likely that this will be revised up. It has been suggested by that these statistics are a hangover from the unusually cold winter, and that, in fact, the construction industry is growing rather than contracting.
So, on that positive thought, we are delighted to share with you that in July and August of this year we will be erecting over 100 units in timber frame. A flavour of the projects we will be completing are; a 46 unit Canterbury student accommodation project erected over three phases, a spacious care home in Maidstone, a 13 unit luxury housing scheme, 10 various projects of timber frame erections throughout the South East and another installation of a trio of the Center Parcs holiday tree houses. You can see these tree houses on our case studies section.
Here’s to a steadily growing and strengthening 2011 and a positive frame for the long term future of our industry.
